Recent research has found that exercise can offer a better quality of life and enhanced self-image for breast cancer survivors. The authors of this study say that changes in body composition and strength may empower these women with a greater sense of control over their lives.

If you are just beginning a fitness program begin with realistic short term and long term goals. Find a program you can enjoy. If you can only start with 5 or 10 minutes of an exercise it is definitely better than no exercise. If you can fit two 15 minute sessions or three 10 minute sessions of exercise into a day then you have accumulated 30 minute of exercise. Even small steps are powerful. They are steps forward to better health and quality of life for you.
